All,

My cat peed all over the package tray of my MK5 Jetta...
I am trying to remove it so I can hose it out and douse it with enzyme solution. If that doesn't work I will have to get it re-upholstered.

I have:
removed the 3x Torx screws for the package tray tie downs.
Removed the rear seats and seat bottoms
Removed the Side Bolsters for the rear seat
Removed the C Pillar plastic/cloth panels (these are the ones with the screws behind the airbag logos.

What else is holding this thing in? I pull on it (out and up) and I can hear something tearing, I may end up replacing it anyways but I don't want to break anything!

Well, I got the package out.
I broke just about every clip under the darn thing though...

There are 4 clips holding the package tray (parcel shelf) to the sheet metal. All 4 of them ripped off from the underside, and one broke in half. All 4 were still firmly affixed to the sheet metal.

There is no way I could see to access those clips from below.

Bottom line: don't let your cat loose in your car, and don't remove your package try unless you really need to.

You show 2 clips in the picture. Where are the other two located and how would you recommend getting them off if you could do it over again?
