Tell me about vacuum leaks...

A few weeks ago I (incorrectly) hypothesized that the lack of airflow from my fan vents was the result of a bad resistor. However, after other users assisted, I realized it wasn't a resistor as all fan speeds work.

My problem is that after ~20 minutes of driving, the air output from my fans decreases to nothing despite the fact I can hear the fan running. If I turn the car off for an hour, it fires right back up upon restarting. The air seems to work normal if I have recirc going. After more research on other auto forums, I noticed other car owners had similar problems and they all appeared to be the result of a leak from the vacuum hoses/tubes/whatever. Does this sound like what I have going on? And if so, what are the labor/parts costs I'm looking at to fix?

Thanks,

CO

Is this only with the air conditioning on? If so, your evaporator could be freezing up and restricting airflow.

Couldnt possibly be a vacuum leak.

The newer vehicles dont rely on vacuum to actuate the flaps. Everything is electronic.
