Hey guys, our 2004 mk4 BEW leaks like a son of a on those weak connector clips for the boost hoses.

I have a spare set of ALH piping with intercooler and I was thinking to install it and be done with leaks.

Before I do this, I wanted to confirm that the alh MAP sensor should be fine or should I swap it from the new IC?

Thanks!

I don't know if this helps but ID Parts lists the same 3 bar MAP sensor for ALH and BEW.
I would -think- the plug is the same then.
I haven't read much on MAP sensor failures.
Worst case swap it if you have problems?
The turbo boost outlet would be the big thing, it uses a different connector.
You might have to be creative on this one. :)

I also do not know if the ALH tubing will directly connect to the turbo and EGR valve.
Have you compared the intercooler to EGR tube to see if its the same?
Swapping it first to find out should be easy.

Thanks for the post. I just took a look at the turbo outlet and it has that stupid clip that the ALH doesn't. ALH is smooth and just has the rubber pipe attach to it with those spring clips.

Think you can use the BEW turbo hose, then go all ALH (pancake pipe, intercooler).

Did this with our BEW wagon, but with a VNT 17 and an upgraded SMIC.
