Hi there,
Dropped of my car to VW dealer for heater core replacement. I was given Golf 18 or 2019 like last time. Loaner.
I believe it's also DSG, and it is TSI.
I felt that TSI was much more quiet and less vibration.
My TDI is like a tractor and vibrates much more.
Regular gas here in VA is around 2.10-2.30 now but diesel 2.60-2.80..
I guess when I was calculating mpg I didn't think about diesel being more expensive than regular in my area. In DC regular and diesel was almost the same, I guess that's why the dealer I bought my car had a lot of diesels..
I drive about 100 miles a day round trip. My TDI will get 45-48 mpg with light traffic.(68mph cruise control)
TSI got 45 mpg with light traffic (68mph cruise control)
But I felt much more safe when I drove my TDI, this car feels very lightweight.
And also DSG feels very improved compared to my car's silly DSG.
What do you guys think?
I love my car, high torque, decent mpg, diesel reliability was always attractive to me.
