Having just gone through a comedy of errors with my car, I thought I'd warn those of you with Jetta Wagons that the parts tables for the rear suspension components are not always accurate!!
My 2003 (built in January, 2003) has 2002 model year (rear) shock absorbers and related items (mounting flanges)!!! These happen to be the same as those for the regular sedan, if that helps someone...
I don't know if this is a Canadian model issue, or mine is just a freaky occurrance, but...
If you're replacing rear shocks, please have an extra careful look at the old shocks, and if possible, get the model numbers off them. (FYI, the wagon shocks are supposed to have longer "stems" in them, and the lower mounting is different as well... as I said, not for my car !!)
