turn signals

on my 2k jetta,

They click /blink a couple times & then stop working, I have noticed this in the past, but not as bad.

Yesterday & today they were just about worthless.

I checked the fuse & bulbs.
I disconnected & cleaned all connections and
reconnected & still no luck.

any suggestions?

Yup, flasher relay.

Nope, it's located behind the hazzard button in your dash.
