Stripped thread on intake manifold

Cleaning out wifes intake manifold on 02 Jetta and wound up stripping the threads while installing one of the six manifold bolts while putting it back together. Would a helicoil work in this situation or should I try to rethread the hole to a larger size? Not sure of the manifold bolt size (N90424201) or which helicoil/tap I should use so any help would be greatly appreciated.

8mm X 1.25, very common metric size. Helicoil works good, just make sure you keep it square.
