H E L P !!! (Sort of off topic)

Sorry, but does anybody know what do dealerships put into Passat's 1999 V6 engines? My father needs to add oil to it, and it's urgent, but I don't know if we can mix Mobil-1 with what's already in there. Sorry again, but I didn't know where to post it. Thanks a lot for the info.

Mobil 1 should be fine and might even be an upgrade to whatever the stealership uses.

Nowadays, mosts oils are compatable with each other. I wouldn't be overly concerned.
