Battery was disconnected.. ECU affected?

A new cd player went in the 04 Golf and battery was disconnected for up to an hour or two.

I read that disconnected batteries do not affect MIL lights, but would the disconnected battery have affected the ECU in any way? I did have the reflash done a few months ago.

Thank you.

Not unless you have a gasser 2.0..."throttle body alignment"...may need to be redone. And that is where many of the reports of difficulties with VW's changing batteries comes from. That and having to reset the radio code on some vehicles.

If you have power windows or something, the ECM might get confused as to the full up or full down point for the first time you use them...might have to relearn some settings, but overall, no, nothing should be affected.
