You're supposed to change the filter when you change the oil. Every time. And the filters always look that black.BrianCT said:My evening was simple.
102,000 miles on the 2006 PD Jetta, did an oil change, filtre change via TDIPARTS. Used 507.00 this time around too. We always change the fuel filtre the same time we do the oil change regardless, if you want to see the filtre.
Fuel filtre is 20,000 miles according to the manual. Some of our filtres [fuel filtres] haven't lasted 4,000 miles though.Naimanator said:You're supposed to change the filter when you change the oil. Every time. And the filters always look that black.
Mike96ZJ said:3mm LEDs for the sunroof switch and the door lock pin.
5mm LEDs with holders for the overhead console.
The 3mm ones I already had and couldn't tell you a part number, the 5mm LEDs and holders I got from www.superbrightleds.com I got a few different LEDs in different brightnesses and viewing angles. Still trying to nail down which ones i want.
Mike96ZJ said:tothemax, what you need is 3 - 39mm fuse (festoon) style LEDs and 2 - 194 style LEDs.
You can either choose the LEDs you want from superbrightleds.com or grab them all in kit form from 42 draft designs here: http://store.42draftdesigns.com/5pc-mk4-LED-Interior-Lighting-Kit_p_38.html
super bright LEDs has a lot more choices. 42 Draft designs has a kit and all you need to do is choose a color. Your choice.
What i did was the sunroof switch like this:
and the W8 lights like this:

Friday evening I changed the cabin filter on my wagon so I could write a how-to on it, and was ashamed by what I found.
A/C does work better, however.
That ain't bad. Imagine what they look like when my customer's get a deer in the headlight look when I ask when it was last changed. I've pulled some truly bodacious cabin air filters and snowscreens.IndigoBlueWagon said:Friday evening I changed the cabin filter on my wagon so I could write a how-to on it, and was ashamed by what I found.

This was before you were born delvi, but I owned a 1974 Plymouth Scamp, babie blue with a white vinyl top, two door. It looked exactly like this one. I bought it used from a dentist with 100,000 miles in 1986 going to school here for a year. It had a slant-6 225 cu in 3-sp auto.delvi__acevedo said:Thankyou Peter , imagine if you didn't have a filter
OMG that sounds like a horror movie, um sure those girls took the bus to school after that dayBrianCT said:This was before you were born delvi, but I owned a 1974 Plymouth Scamp, babie blue with a white vinyl top, two door. Anyway, it was a huge car in my prospective. One fall afternoon we were 7 people in the car, 3 in front, 4 in the back driving down the highway. Cramped. Someone in the front seat reach underneath the dash and flipped down a lever in the far corner. It was a 4 in x 4 in metal door that swung open and 5 pounds of squirrle nests blew into the passenger compartment. Oh those gals in the back seat. The eighties and hair spray owned them.
sorry to here about the Jeep. Hope the wife is ok. Congats on the power stroke. The 7.3 is the best one they ever had much better than the new ones.Honeydew said:This A.M. I removed the dual gauge pod from the TDI because it is now my wife's since she rolled and totaled her Liberty CRD. She doesn't care to look at extra gauges. Another bonus of the McNally gauges is that they are easy to plug back in if I need to use the car for a road trip or something.
Friday bought a 7.3L Powerstroke and ordered new tires for it within 30 minutes of getting home. It has goodyear wranglers on it like the Jeep had. This weekend ordered Ford severe duty intake, EGT, boost, trans temp gauges, and 4" turbo-back exhaust ($289 shipped ).
Just got off the phone with DP tuner, and my chip is being programmed right now with: 60hp codes econo, 80hp codes econo, 1200rpm hi-idle for A/C boost, and 120hp codes race. Not available for the TDI but she used to have a beetle and they had Charlie tune it!
