my headliner is failing down from all directions any help or tsb' that anyone know of?

You can take it down and use spray adhesive to stick it back on. I don't have a link or anything, this is what I did with a previous car.

The video above links directly to a fellow who worked on his 06 jetta headliner. My 02 is suffering the same problem of sagging after all of these years. Its not a difficult job, but is one that must be done properly to have it look good. Many fabric shops sell actual automotive headliner material; foam backed and all. Probably the hardest part is getting all of the foam from the old material off of the ceiling itself. There are many headliner videos on youtube you can check out. While not all are for VW they are all fairly similar.
