Paid $3.779 today at a Flyers ($10.00 worth) in Marysville, CA and then again at a Propel location (fill up) in Rocklin, CA.
All the stations in Hastings, Minnesota, have diesel for $2.949.
That has got to be a mistake, as it is barely above the price for the nearby futures contract (about $2.25). Then state and federal taxes must be added, plus cost of delivery to the station and at least a few cents/gallon of profit. That station must lose at least 20-25 cents on every gallon it sells.$2.49 in Katy, Texas (30 mi west of Houston)

There has been, for at least the last decade and probably much longer, a seasonal pattern to the relationship between gasoline and diesel. Diesel tends to be relatively high from September until January or February; then the premium shrinks or disappears gradually until May or June.So what has happened in the US causing diesel prices to be higher than regular unleaded? Years ago in the US, diesel was always lower than regular unleaded, just as it was in Europe. Why did prices flip/flop in the US?
