There are commercial pc programs out there which let gear heads to plot out what effect on power curve certain engine components have. I have somewhat been looking into these programs since playing around with gasoline engines is much easier with such computer assistance.

Just a moment ago a had a closer look on spec sheet of one very promising looking engine analyzator program. They have three different tunes out of the same program. The more input fields you wanna have, more costly the program becomes.

I narrowed down on the middle one out of the three. (Programs retail at $ US 110/210/470).
I spotted a very interesting note on spec sheet. Among other things it does this:
...Calculate performance for alternate fuels like Diesel, propane or CNG (compressed natural gas).

Is this grate or wot!?

On another forum I've seen an Australian guy many times referring to his copy of the most expensive out of these three programs. He is absolutely satisfied with the accuracy and overall performance of said program.
