dieselgeek skid riv tool

quick question. do you have to have/use the riv tool to set the riv nuts in the mk4 frame? or is there a simpler way? home made riv tool? just don't wanna spend $8 if i don't have to...ya, i know cheap lol

Don't know if you "have" to, but it sure works good.

ok, i may try that. i kinda figured a piece of flat bar would work good, but didn't know. because thats really all the riv tool is.
