2004 Jetta BEW TDI Wagon - 5 Speed - Best offer Portland, OR
9/9 EDIT: buyer bailed. Looking for best offer, located in Portland.
I’m helping to sell my daughters 2004 Jetta 1.9L BEW TDI Wagon, which is located in Portland Oregon. It has served us well since buying it in July 2007 from a seller in Palmer, AK, then transfered to my daughter ~2014.
Car needs a mechanic - Great for someone who can do their own work. It has definitely seen better days and she does not have the mechanical skills or any more money to put into it.
Here is what I know about the car
1. 243,400 miles
2. VIN WVWRR61J14W112106
3. Two recent inspection reports with findings summarized below (your email gets the images)
4. No rust
5. New clutch and transmission bearings at ~220,000 miles
6. Panzer skid plate
7. Top pipe retainer and new top hose
8. New injectors at ~200K (with help from a friend who dumped gasoline into tank)
9. Last timing belt at 184K
10. Last oil change at 240K, done every 10K
Summary of inspection report
1. Needs new tires
2. Needs suspension: worn struts, tie rods, ball joints & rubber parts
3. The windshield washers don't work
4. The back seat was folded down and the bottom latch plastic broke.
5. Water pump leaks badly
6. Oil seep at cam seal
7. Drive belt tensioner worn
8. Four CEL codes (unknown what they are)
9. Intercooler leaking, contains oil
10. She hit a deer and I replaced the frontend sheetmetal and clip (have pictures)
11. Rear hatch struts need replacement
12. She did minor art-deco over the fuel flap (that I know of!)
