I've recently installed a Curt hitch to pull my trailer. I'm looking for the correct Airlift 1000 Load Assist Kit part # for my 2003 Jetta TDI WAGON. These red bags go inside the springs to help maintain correct ride height.

I've searched the forum but only found one poster stating he used # 80777.
An email to Airlift has gone unanswered. Anyone else done this mod? Which kit is the right one for the '03 Wagon?

Try searching in the Upgrades (non TDI Engine related) forum. I think you'll find what you need. :)

i am sure he did a search in the general area, not just one specific area.
i too had a hard time locating the info you seek, this search engine leaves a lot to be desired.
if you want to go a diff route, give this a look:
air shocks on back of Golf from 04 caddy deville. Nice lift/ride. Small mod to shocks, but bolted right up.*

it was suggested to me to try this spring insert, Air Lift Kit # 80753, but it wasn't listed for the VW. it was suggested to read this post but i found no useful info there:

post your results when you find out what you want. i will be using the Monroe airshocks for mine.

For Ian F.......thanks for that info!.......that led me to three other relevant posts.........and it boils down to this.....
#80753 is 3.44" diameter......8.75" high
#80777 is 3.44" diameter......7" high

An email finally, from Airlift themselves suggested measuring these two parameters with the car level.....unloaded.....to choose which would be the better application. (One poster indicated Airlift told him too short was better than too long.)

For deejaaa........Ok Mary.....you can un-wad yer' panties now!
