I unloaded my 2009 Sportwagen today. I had just under 67,000 miles on it, with an overall average of 37.9 mpg.
I can't say my decision wasn't affected by the potential of a hpfp problem, even though I never had rust or metal particles when I changed the filter.
So I drove away from my dealer in a 2013 Jetta GLI Autobahn 6-speed manual. I won't get the mileage obviously, but its an absolute blast to drive.
Although I've mostly lurked, I've enjoyed the lively and informative conversation. Happy Holidays to all of you!
