I find the brakes on these cars to be the weak link. I spoke to an Audi tech and he agreed the braking is poor compared to many other Audis. I was thinking of upgrading to the SQ5 brakes which have a 280 mm rotor and larger 4 piston caliper for $4000. I have to get my front brakes done anyway which would cost about $1000 to begin with. I drove the SQ5 and found quite a difference.
The other alternative is to go with Brembo 6 piston callipers and 280 mm 2 piece rotors for about $6000. The brakes on the Treg are 6 piston.
I often pull a trailer so the brake upgrade is going to happen no matter what. Just curious what people think.

Your 2014 Q5 TDI should have the Brembo calipers. I think all 2014 and newer models came with them. I have noticed that the pads aren't the greatest. Upgrade the pads and rotors with StopTech or PowerStop.
