Guys,

new here, Irish guy that owns a 2011 A5 Coupe (Black Edition/S-Line) with a 2.0 TDI engine. See pics below.

Been doing a ton of searches on the forum about how to drive my TDI engine with respect to the weight of the car I own and while Drivbiwire's thread has been fantastic, I'm looking for something a little more relevant to my car/modern 2.0 CR TDI engine. This Audi primarily drives at 60-80MPH on motorways and has 153,000 miles on the engine.

Questions:

1. What should I REV to in first gear in general on one of these? I've always only gone to 2,000 RPM but I'm hearing this is not good on the turbo?

2. Should the style of driving change based on if the car is only warming up or warmed up? Example of revs with regard to this?

3. Lately I've been taking 4th/5th gear a little higher than before to around 2,500 RPM and I'm finding better performance from the car overall.

4. Any other advice for this car/engine combination? Yes, I realise the 3.0 TDI is a better choice! :)
