A7 (potentially)
Hi all,

I'm new here, so sorry if some of this has been previously discussed. My 2010 A4 2.0 (manual) is getting long in the tooth and I'm looking at several 2014 A7 TDIs. I'd love some general feedback on the car for anyone that has it.

I'm also wondering about the TDI emissions settlement. I've looked at information on the settlement website and it sounds like if I buy a car that hasn't gone through the settlement yet, I'd be eligible for settlement proceeds if I file before the deadline. Is this correct? Seems like a pretty nice incentive to buy one of these, assuming they still drive well after the fix (and possibly tuning).

Any info/advice is much appreciated!

Non-fixed TDIs have totally disappeared from the open market.

The fixed A7 still drives fine. With the 4year/48k mike warranty, it's good for major expensive parts.

Almost all fixed 3.0L TDI PC cars will go through O2 sensor replacement at some point. Long term effects beyond warranty unknown, but it's reasonable to assume that it's worse than non-fixed.
