Bought 22 months ago with a blown TB. LOT's of work done since.
It's been my work truck since and hauled the dogs so it's bit dirty but could be cleaned up. also, I have an entire black leather VR6 GLX interior coming from a local guy plus a rt front and left rear door.(ugly blue, you paint) Slight rust left rear 2 holes rt front. 1 spot of bubble left rear tail light. Easy fix. Interior has upgraded speakers and a pioneer XM CD radio.
Ok, the ugly out of the way. Metalic Black tan cloth for now. 175K+
NEW Hella Glass Ecodes, euro switch plus old lights. New silver star bulbs.
Sony aftermarket radio
37% tint
trans fluid changed at 145K, 148K, 155K 160K just for good measure to flush the crap out.
145K the car came to me plugged, seriously plugged intake and blown belt. warned the guy for 3 years.....
Pulled head, new seals and guides, 3 valves, new lifters and cam.
Obviously, new VW head gasket and bolts, not aftermarket.
New crank seal and bolt
oil cooler flange seal (metal)
oil cooler seal
New TB and water pump, diesel geek kit.
Frost heater
4 new brake calipers, pads, rotors bearings. Bled 4 liters of fluid through it.
All new vacuum lines.
New EGR pipes and seals
New turbo
PP520 injectors.
New N75
CAT filter
Cabin filter
Air filter
Oil service
Correct G12 flushed and filled
3 new wiper blades
new washer pump motor.
stll have CEL for open short to ground (V751) washer metering system. Have new stalk but don't want to tear it apart. Stupid cel.....
158K New Koni yellow suspension and mounts, bump stops, hardware. ($1000 in parts)
158K new battery and battery blanket.
162K New clutch (VR6) and all the engine mounts. New rear main seal.
165K new exhaust pipes
165K new tie rod ends
165K new ball joints
165K control arm bushings.
165K complete AC rework. New condensor, valves and all seals. Flush and re-charge. ICE COLD!
166K new drivers window regulator, clips and seals.
166K 4 new 16" ASA BBS knockoff wheels and yokohama tires. BTW the wheels are 17 lbs each, 3 lbs lighter than the stock steels. 1 has some good curb rash......grrrrr.....extra for these.
166K new reinforced hitch and wiring, ($475)
168K 4 firestone winter forces mounted ($300) on steelies. refinished 4 hubcaps.
168K new cat filter element
170K 3 new wiper blades.
170K Coolant flush and coolant heater installed.
170K oil service and new oil cooler seal.
Oil services every 5K with amsoil 5w40 european.
lots more i'm sure. just a mechanics car and i don't write it all down.
Car has a lifetime alignment deal with firstone as well.
new parking brake cables just installed.
Use about 1 qt of oil every 3K or so. I don't drive it easy....
