Rats got to my 2006 brm fuel lines. Is there a way to remove the fuel lines that go to/from the tank without a special tool?

Take a close up shot of the fittings from a few angles with your cell phone. There is a black button that needs to be pressed in, then push the fitting a little tighter down before pulling it off. The fitting has a squarish side and a roundish side and button is on the roundish side. They come off easily once you get the hang of it, and do not require special tools if your fingers are strong.

See my recent post for a couple photos of a smashed fitting: http://forums.tdiclub.com/showthread.php?t=494625&highlight=leak
