hello

i own a Mexican market 2009 mk5 Jetta TDI.

there are several differences between mine and the US '09YM, mainly the engine being CR for the US version and mine being PD.

I have been relying on Mx VW dealer for parts, however i would like to open my options for parts and supplies.

regarding brakes, i am in the need to buy rotors and pads soon.
however the part numbers i get from my dealer and the ones i see form online vendors differ on the revision codes.

does anyone know the differences?

id parts Mx VW
1K0 615 301 AA <-- Front Rotors--> 1K0 615 301 AQ
1K0 698 151 A <-- Front Pads --> 1K0 698 151 E
1K0 615 601 L <--Rear Rotors ---> 1K0 615 601 AJ
1K0 698 451 G <-- Rear Pads ---> 1K0 698 451 F

i believe the differences are on the suppliers of the parts, but i have no access to ETKA.

thank you in advance!

Hi Carlos,

Iv'e never used part numbers to buy street brake pads or rotors. If rotors are offered in different sizes for my vehicle I usually go by the diameter of the replacement rotor, and match it to what's currently on the car.

I haven't had an issue with a pad not fitting.

Good Luck,

Peter
