Default 2014 DSG oil change

This one looks different from my 2013. I need access to the DSG oil filter and can't separate the air filter box from the battery tray. The two must be separated for me to be able to get the battery tray out. I have removed the torx screws and the air horn but the two are still stuck together at the bottom of the air filter box by what looks like two plastic plugs. I don't want to break them.Any suggestions? Thanks.

Got it by putting the two front 10 mil head bolts in the battery box and pulling up on the air filter box.

The two can be fused together. I have had same issue. I did not want to break anything...

I don't remove the air box and tray. I just shove it out of the way as much as needed, to access DSG filter.

Some people even get at by just tilting the battery over. Saves battery and tray removal.

I tried top fill this time and like it. It did not take that long and a little less mess than bottom full and dealing with the fill tool, but either way works.
