A few weeks ago my wife started the 2002 tdi and a loud repetitous noise was coming from the engine... followed up with a louder lifter noise i would assume. Does anyone have a suggestion on the other noise...some sort of loud knocking that changes beat with RPM change? I am also looking for suggestions on how to fix the lifter problem. Is that easy to fix..or easier to fix than the IP seal I fixed a few months back. 117,000 miles on the engine.
