Just bought a new dualmass flywheel from a trusted vendor. It was the LUK model most vendors are selling for my 06 with DSG. When the car is cold it is good when idling in gear at a stop light. After driving for awhile, there is a definite rattling sound, a lot like the old one made before I changed it. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it just normal for a LUK one to be so noisy? Thank you.

The DSG / DMF rattle is usually more present at idle on a COLD engine.

Is all the mounting hardware tight? Just asking to be sure.

If it still does it after the replacement, it's probably not the flywheel. It'll be something else. Post a vid?

+1 on Windjammer.... If you fixed the back half of the engine (DMF) the rattle is coming from the alternator pulley.....
