GTD Steering Wheel Swap

I have a 2014 Golf TDI. So I found a 2011 GTD steering wheel with MSFW and Paddle shifter came all the way from Lithuanian. Also came with airbag unit and harness. So the well is the same as the GTI only with grey stitching.



UPDATE Full GTD DSG Interior expect the GTD seats. So it is the wheel with dsg paddle, shift knob, and the parking brake lever.

First off looks great!!

To answer your question, there's nothing to code at all. You only need to ensure that all of the wires are correctly connected before you put the airbag in place.

Found there is a round connector that need to be attached to the airbag horn wire that wraps around.


Works awesome. Just need the shifter knob and e-brake cover with grey stitching.


Then performace items i had since my other red mk6 that i totaled on the highway.

Do you mind sharing what the wheel cost with the airbag?

it was $520 plus $78 for express shipping which was like 4 days from Lithuania. Also got a OEM R badge for the wheel which was like 50ish on ebay. GTD badge had scratches.

Are the steering wheel buttons illuminated in red or blue?

There the standard Red

Interior done well expect a nice android radio and speaker upgrade.
