OEM VW roof rack, worth while?

I'm interested in a roof rack for my 2015 Jetta TDI S.
I tried the Thule aeroblades with the correct fit kit as provided by REI but the fit was far from what I would consider proper. I've had them before on other cars and they were spot on perfect.
On the Jetta I would have been afraid to tie down a kayak and hit the road.
What about the VW OEM racks? Are they worth a hoot?

I'm really happy with the OEM roof rails on my 2011, very sturdy and fit well. I've had 3 mountain bikes (~115 lbs) on the roof rails and felt confident with them up there. I bought mine used for $250 CAD and they came with snowboard/ski racks as well. If I remember correctly the roof rails are pretty darn expensive from VW.
