Good morning all,
Bought a used 2013 Golf Tdi recently. Have had the car for a few weeks and I love it. However, it makes some interesting noises. One of which I’m concerned about. After my daily commute, (one way is 60 miles) the car will make a very loud hissing noise, (sounds like someone is using an air hose with a tip on it to blow off debris). You can’t really hear it while driving unless you’re moving slow with the windows down. It only happens 2 or three times through the week. It’s a constant sound when moving or parked. The sound also seems like it’s coming from the middle of the vehicle. It also seems to stop when you shut the car off. When you then turn the car back on, the sound does not come back. I initially thought it was some sort of “regen” cycle but it seems that it’s happening too often for that. Any ideas? Thanks.
