Looking at the BEW and BHW valve covers:

BEW

BHW

The only differences I see are the orientation of the crankcase vent tube and the height of the oil cap. I don't have a BEW valve cover on hand, so was hoping someone could tell me if the height of the oil cap is due to a removable extension, or if it's molded in. The parts illustration in ETKA seems to imply that there's a removable extension (named oil filler support), but it's hard to be sure.

Alternatively, is it possible to rotate the crankcase vent tube on the BHW valve cover? It seems to be bonded in place, but there's a gap around the periphery that implies it might be removable somehow. I don't want to break my valve cover, I've only got the one :( But I really need that vent tube to be turned the same way as on the BEW valve cover.
