Car History & Description
Bought this car in March of 2015 with appx 185,xxx miles on it.
I replaced the Intake Regulating Flap ($315, oem from Idparts) in April 2015.
Also completely flushed the coolant and replaced with VW g13 coolant.
Other than that, only normal maintenance.
Oil changes once a year with Shell Rotella t6, Mann filters all around (oil, fuel, air, cabin).
Tires replaced in 2017 (Sumitomo).

Previous owner fixed the oil pump issues these cars have and it is now gear driven.
T-belt still has some life on it and previous owner advised parts were all from Bora/Cascade.

I’ve driven it as a part-time work commuter and on a couple family vacations to Florida.
(I rotate through a couple of my vehicles so as to drive them all & keep them moving).
I routinely check the fluids during fuel fill-ups and keep things topped off.
Car naturally burns a bit of oil, and should be monitored to be safe.

Interior is clean.
Tint is getting loose in a couple spots – see photos.
Door card faux leather inserts are getting loose but stay in place if left alone.
Both rear door locks are temperamental and sometimes require opening from inside.
Previous owner placed a floor jack too far under the car toward the driver’s side floor pan, and jacked it up a bit - can be seen when in driver’s seat. The area mentioned is closer to the seat and does not affect driving.
Plastic piece under the windshield wipers is cracked. Have secured it for now.
Previous owner had a dent in the hood near the front bumper, I replaced it with a matching junkyard hood and both front fenders.

The car has done well, but I need to unload a few vehicles.
I also have another non-running diesel Passat wagon I will be selling or sending to scrap.

Advise any questions and I'll do my best to answer as soon as possible.
I can provide Ebay & other forum feedback.

Missouri title is clean, in my name and in hand.
Thanks

There are just too many to list....
That looks like real leather to me. Real leather cars have steering wheel controls for the radio and cruise, and had (as an added option) the wood trim.

Bistar 17" wheels too (another option only available on the GLS cars).

Looks nice, good luck with your sale. It isn't one that I did the balance shaft upgrade on (I ran the VIN here).

Thanks, I assumed all were faux leather.
As for the BSM upgrade/gear driven pump, it was performed by the previous owner, located in Sullivan, IL.

It's still for sale, thanks all for the interest.

3 year bump.
Price: $1000
Current mileage: 207,984 (vs 207,697 in original posting above 3yrs ago).

Car has only been driven around in my neighborhood these last 3 years to keep it going.
Need the space it takes up in my driveway, and I'm not interested in paying anymore personal property tax on it (Missouri).
If you're interested, send me a message.

Wow! Nice looking car, throw a manual transmission in it and motor on.
I would if it weren't for the 03 Jetta wagon I daily. It's coming up on 300k and holding strong.

As for this Passat... it's the usual..... too many cars, not enough time, etc.
It really is a nice car and has life left in it. No doubt it feels nicer and rides smoother than the 03 Jetta.
Hopefully it finds an enthusiast to keep it going.

I should also mention, it was checked out by a local guru when originally posted FS, and most of the items of concern that he pointed out have been corrected.
(Some but not all of those concerns: Brakes, misc broken plastic, front snub bushing, and also new outer CV joints - Metelli brand from IDparts).
I still have his report and will share with anyone interested.
