can anyone recommend a head unit replacement with GPS , that will also Not alter the functionality of the unit in relation to other car systems?

The only true answer is the RNS-510 in my opinion. Any aftermarket setup is going to compromise the other car systems in one way or another. I tried with the Alpine ILX-107 and loved the radios functionality, but hated the integration in the car.

The factory GPS option for the SE (with fog lights and Nav) was the RNS-315. It also integrates with all other car functions as of MFD display and steering wheel. Can't remember if Climatronic control displays on it, but on a '15 SE that shouldn't be a problem.
