I'm helping a friend trying to get a 2005 Passat running that's been sitting for a while. the upside is it does crank. looks like the glowplug symbol lite for a second and goes out as id expect.
there is no power to the lift pump though.
looks like it has had a bit of water egress. the 109 relay had gotten water in it. I did open it up i cleaned it up temporarily .. we have one coming.
I'm not familiar with this gen TDI, I'm more familiar with the previous gen tdi's
any pointers on how to go about troubleshooting a no power to the lift pump condition would be great, or if there's already a write-up or thread that covers this. and someone can point me to it that be awesome.
another issue it has, in case this is symptomatic of a problem that has a common cause is the windows do not work, though door locks dome light etc work.
