'03 jetta tdi serp idler pulley bolt

need to replace alternator on wife's '03 jetta wagon. want to replace the serpentine belt idler pulley. what wrench?torx?hex and is it a left hand thread??

Mine was a hex bolt. Easy to remove and just torqued it hand tight. Normal threads
