Hi All - I went to change my fuel filter cartridge today and was stumped when after removing the top off the canister I could not lift out the old filter!
The motor is the BKD model in a 2005 Audi.
The ELSA instructions say to vacuum a bit of fuel out , remove the lid and change.....
I found that the filter cartridge is spring loaded and using reasonable force would not pull out. The top part with the seals that presses against the hose outlets could not be easily separated from the cartridge, which it must do as it goes into the new cartridge.
I tried turning, pulling, pushing and twisting etc , but at no point did it look like coming out!
Any tips are welcome.
Thanks,
Paul
