Brian, you missed the BMW 335d :D (I'd like to drive one of these, but would be afraid I'd like it too much- can't justify the costs of a car like this, nor could I work on/repair it.)
That was my mistake...I test drove one :p And then souped it up :D And then souped up my wife's X5 :D

Now I have 4 BMW's (2 diesels) and only 2 TDI's left. I have my B5.5 for sale and when it goes the 98 Jetta goes up for sale, then I won't have any TDI's left. I am planning to narrow the fleet from 9 tagged and insured cars/trucks down to 5 over the next year.

dogdots, my strategy for reigning myself in is to operate my tractors. After running my tractors my cars really feel fast!:D

UhOh, I use a similar strategy but with my 30 year old, 74 HP BMW motorcycle.
Compared to that all cars seem slow.

I used to get my "fast" on on my bike also. In the late 90's, I had a GSXR 750 with extended swing arm, air shifter, adjustable rev limiter, and nitrous running 9.32 @ 147 with my fat arse on it, and it clicked off a 7.91 @ 168 with my 100# buddy running it down the 1320.

Now I just get my "cruise" on with my '74 Norton 850 Commando or my '79 Moto Guzzi V1000 G5.

I am driving my 335d to Atlanta tomorrow, it will be the longest road trip I have taken it on since I bought it.
