2000 jetta issues

I have a 2000 jetta, i'm getting a "shift solenoid A electrical" code. Can't figure out what this can be. I just installed a valve body and everything has tested fine that I can think of testing. I'm looking for some ideas and maybe a good wiring diagram of everything related to the transmission. I know this is vague but I'm stuck.

Did you reuse the harness? If you did it often doesn’t make it through the change, to be honest they break when you look at them.

I did not. Got a new one. That is about the only place i can think of that could be the problem. I just hate to drop to pan AGAIN to test for continuity.

I would measure for continuity at the TCM under the plenum.
Do you have the Bentley manual for the wire diagram?

i did check that and it tested good throughout the wiring harness.

Where did you get the VB and harness from?

A place in California. I forget the name. It was rebuilt and all the solenoids tested fine. I did not check for continuity in the ribbon.(I am hoping that it is ok) Not looking forward to dropping the pan AGAIN.

Check the round plug on top of the trans for any dirty or corroded pins.
