2012-14 Passat remote start kit now available

I am not sure if this has been posted.

I am wondering if this is really worth it for TDI owners.
Also is this the same with the Kessy?

Been discussed already. $320 for the kit + 2 new remotes + new bcm module = about $1000.00. Most won't pay that. Also the add says "Not for vehicles with Kessy".

Is this the same as the kessy?
My question is, is there a point to install this since the TDI don't need to be pre warmed?

Kessy is keyless entry and starting IIRC. Remote start is something different. Unless you just want remote start I can't see any reason for installing it. I have Kessy and remote start on my Passat and the remote useful distance is so short it isn't really useful to me. If it worked out to about 200 or 300 feet I would use it to precool the car in the summer. I have to be about 20 feet away at the most for it to function. Too late then.
