has anyone gotten the boost codes to work in a 2009/2010? I tried and it doesn't display anything.
Does the MAP gauge display an apparently accurate reading (barometric pressure + turbo boost pressure) or is that dead too?mysql said:has anyone gotten the boost codes to work in a 2009/2010? I tried and it doesn't display anything.
Ah well... not worth many tears anyways, since that's post-turbo.... and a long way post turbo at that.mysql said:I hear you can't get EGT (via cat sensors)?
Yes, MAP is one of the pre-programmed gauges. When you program the boost x-gauge you are subtracting a standard atmospheric pressure of your choosing from the MAP reading to yield the turbo boost pressure. If the MAP is reading but not the boost x-gauge then there is a problem associated with the x-gauge coding. If MAP reading is dead or wrong then that's the issue.mysql said:Honeydew, MAP being a built in gauge in the unit?
I have a 2009 and I got my boost gauge to work. I should have used the same settings everybody else has used, except adjusted for the altitude where I live.mysql said:has anyone gotten the boost codes to work in a 2009/2010? I tried and it doesn't display anything.
Here are the screenshots..There is a trick that can be done with the CMNDS feature within the
ScanGauge (Accessed by pressing MORE > MORE > CMNDS) where we can
essentially ask the vehicle what sensors it supports. To do this, select
the CMNDS option then select EDIT. Next enter a value of 0100 then select
OK. After that hit SEND and you should see a long string of numbers and
letters. Write down the value that is displayed on the screen. Repeat this
with the values of 0120, 0140, and 0160 and send back what the responses
were
Didn't get a chance to take a photo, but I had saved the settings I used.mysql said:any chance you can post screenshots of the xgauge settings just to verify?
Yep, this is normal operating temperature. If coolant temperature is below about 140F/60C, you should take it easy on your engine until it warms up. There should be a diagram in the manual to show on the temperature gauge where you need to watch for this.mysql said:I notice the car sits around 198 to 210 F a lot, even though it's 55F outside... anyone know if this is normal for diesel? I assume it is, but I'm used to seeing temps in the 180-190F (gassers)
Yeah I tried that, initially, I Just hadShawnz said:TXD: 44 (DTE and this tank)
RXF: 800000000000 (This is a trip gauge)
then next till you get to the name and make up a tag for it, maybe DTE.
I'll try it on mine...
0.0 might be correct...Zozep said:I tried what you just posted and it doesn't give me anything, the gauge just reads 0.0
I'll check on the way home tonight... I have the fuel set to dieselA, tank size is 55 litres, units set to metric, Speed adjusted with a GPS, the last fill calibrated to about 17% off of what it guessed I used... I have about 1/3 tank left.NarfBLAST said:0.0 might be correct...
What is your TANK SIZE set to?
How many Liters have you used this TANK?
If you go to TRIP, under TANK, and KM TO EMPTY does it show 0.0 there as well?
Yep, checked and Tank Size is set to 55 liters, fuel is set to DieselA, and under Trip>Tank it shows KM to Empty as 0.0... I don't get it.NarfBLAST said:0.0 might be correct...

I've had no luck with the horsepower xgauge - the numbers don't make sense to me at all in my '09.adamant628 said:Anyone know how accurate the horsepower xgauge is? I saw 107 the other day.
The ScanGauge thinks your tank is empty. When is the last time you went through the fill up screen? That is the only way it knows how much fuel is in your car.Zozep said:Yep, checked and Tank Size is set to 55 liters, fuel is set to DieselA, and under Trip>Tank it shows KM to Empty as 0.0... I registered 126 the other day..solartempest said:I've had no luck with the horsepower xgauge - the numbers don't make sense to me at all in my '09.
