I was wondering do they make throttle bodies for TDI's and if they do is there a HP increase or a torque increase. I have heard that some company makes one and it is said to give 50 hp but i don't know if the guy that was telling was for real. If you have any info on this please let me know because I want to get one if there is an increase in power.

In short....no. Get yourself an OMI. There is no throttle body on a TDI... Never was, and there never will be as it is a drive-by-wire car, and the accelerator pedal is there to provide a control signal for the ECU, which, in turn, controls how much fuel is injected via the pump. As far as air, it sucks in all that it can get, and uses all that it needs..... no butterfly valve, just a flap to cut the air off to shut the motor off.

There is no throttle body because it is a diesel.

That is why diesel pickups and semis need exhaust brakes for towing- there is no vacuum pulling on the pistons to help slow them down on hills.
