2012 Jetta Engine Splash

Is the engine splash guard for a 2012 TDI Jetta different for the gas version? And if so, where could I find these pieces?

If you are talking about the lower engine shield, then yes they are different. Your local dealer can order them in for you.

You can also check out www.dieselgeek.com and replace it with an aluminum skidplate.

Or a junkyard for the part. Probably much cheaper than anywhere else, but a little more work.

You won't likely find those fragile undershields intact in a salvage yard. On any car.

Have I asked you if the 2017 VW Jetta 1.4/5M has the dreaded "Clutch Delay valve"? - - - the anti-quick engagement provision between slave and master cylinder?

Designed to lessen drive train shock associated with quick engagement - ie: popping the clutch, speed shifting et al............

Always appreciate your take on VW tech issues..........
