tdi guru

Hello all. I was wo daring if there is a Tdi guru that live in the Hamilton area. I'm having wiring/sensor issues. I changed the one sensor but no change and I'm lost when working on a vw. signal intermitant for the coolant temp sensor
no signal/intermitant signal for the cam sensor and the fuel temp sensor was changed but still no signal.

Have you checked your grounds? Usually solves non-related electrical faults. Grabbed this from an electrical snag thread in the 2006/A5 section. That's a good place to start for our cars.

Grounds:

"The main ones
- Under the wiper arm / cover in the cowl area
- Under the air box on the left front frame rail behind the headlight
- The one next to the battery
- One more on the passenger frame rail behind the headlight

I usually wire brush clean all surfaces then spray with a liberal coating of Dexoit."

will try it when I get home from work. weirdest thing is the check engine light went away today when I left for work.
