To ditch the plastic skid plate with DG panzer skid plate install or not?

Unless someone gives me a good reason, I am thinking I am going to leave it off.

The purpose for the plastic belly cover is noise reduction. If you leave it off there will be a little more noise. The belly pan absorbs the noise while the DG skid plate alone just lets it bounce up. VW actually calls that belly cover the "noise reduction cover". It also helps to keep out dirt and water.

OK, so I guess the dirt and water thing pushes me into keeping it. JSW is the quietest car I own.
