Default The absurdity of fixed percentage drivetrain loss

I have a dyno (brake dyno)though I have never put my TDI on it, I have done other TDI's. I have to disagree on the wheels and tires, I do not know the reason but when I put my MK1 scirocco race car (1.6 with about 100hp)on with my rain tires I get a couple more horse then with my race tires plus I get a differnce of 3-4 horsepower between 15psi and 25psi I don't know why like I said. The type of dyno makes a huge differnce on comparing them. A dynojet will usually give you about 15% more power for a less powerful car and the difference gets less the more the powerful the car is. I agree that it is only important if you really care about crank power but who does? I spend hours on the dyno for 2-3 whp. I have no idea what I have at the crank and don't really car.
