I don't think it's the clamps because then there should be diesel on the underside of the hoses too and they are bone dry.

So the fuel is leaking around the pipes where they're welded to the lid? Is it possible to replace just the lid? ...not very likely...:(

Turned out to be the O-ring after all. It started pissing out fuel today so it became a lot easier to see :)

Didn't know that diesel had the ability to creep upwards!
