Morning Folks

First time posting on here but I've used the site for a while now to solve a few car related issues I've had.

I recently bought a 2004 Caddy 1.9 TDI. It's got 149k and runs really well. I've had the coil light on for a bit now with no obvious reason why. I bought an OBD scanner from Euro Car Parts a bit ago to check this. Plug it in and it doesn't work. It works on my wife's new Golf and other cars I've plugged it into.

The van has an aftermarket radio and I've read that this can cause issues, so last night I unplugged the stereo completely at the cars wiring harness.

The reader still didn't connect. I've checked the fuses and they're fine.

I know this could be an issue with the K Line but looking at the diagram on the VAGCOM site, mine doesn't have anything to pin 3 on the black radio connector so I can't disconnect it. There's no obvious look for the K Line in the aftermarket loom.

Any ideas? I'm thinking there might be a problem at the ECU making it not communicate. I could do with sorting this as it's started overboosting when on the motorway.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

CW
