Ben, see if you can get him to tune your MSA15 ;)

I am curious though, what is your end game here with this?

should not one of the admins require this guy to register as an approved vendor before he starts flashing ecus:confused:
I would not call someone a vendor until they seek compensation for goods or services.

As for a new, unproven tuner giving away a tune... I would like to think anyone taking him up on his offer is mature enough to understand the risk.

Yep, something doesn't feel right about this. It could be exactly what he is offering... Or, intends to offer. I'm not willing to risk the investment I have in my car for an unproven tune. The OP will need to establish his credibility much better IMHO.

my tunes are safe. i can show maps to prove boost and lambda are in order.
as for what i get out of it, word of mouth. what better way to get your name out there than to give away free stuff.
tough crowd. :p

The guy unlocked the new CR ECU and programmed it via ODB, I doubt he's a hack..

If I had a stock BEW, I'd be more then happy to give it a shot (Although my car isn't exactly stock)

So can you tune an afn 110bhp ve engine with standard hardware please? ;)
And what about with bigger turbo and R520 injectors?
My socketed ecu is ready to go and I can write to chips.
Tried my own remap but car wouldn't start.... so need to check a few things....(!)
Thanks

at the time the tool i have did not do it. it was a manual patch in the bootloader.
x17 has since been updated.

oh don't get me wrong, I do give the guy credit and I hope the best for him. I just wanted to bring up the fact that its not the first time but its the first time I've seen it posted.

I do wish I had the time and knowledge to write tunes :)

I know the feeling ;)
I'm still recovering.

It might help to explain a little more about your capabilities. Have you tuned more than your car and your wifes car?

Not every edc17 or edc16 car will be mapped out the same anyway though.....

MSA15 isn't hard to do anyway....

i know that. but every edc16u31 is going to be pretty close. same with edc17cp14. its still going to be close and easy enough to find the maps.
same as with me7. :)

So what would be the end advantage of getting a tune on my JSW? More power, better mileage, more usable torque? Just curious.

If I got a tune, what else should I change on my car?

youd get about 30bhp more. so more power/torque.
most people report better mileage.

you dont need to change anything else.
