Where\'s Relay???- Finding the Glowplug relay.

Hello Everyone,

I have a 2001 VW Jetta 1.9 TDI. I just had my check engine light come on. I took it in to get the codes and they found that 3 of my glow plugs needed replacing, and the relay was bad as well. I have replaced the glow plugs and harness before, but I have never replaced the relay. I have the Bently manual, but am having trouble finding the location of the Glow Plug Relay, so that I can replace it. Can anyone help me locate it and let me know to replace it. I have the part in hand and it looks pretty straight forward.

It's located in the lower dash above the drivers’ legs. Remove the 3 screws that hold lower dash shroud. After removing the shroud and contorting your body on the floor, you'll see the relay/fuse panel.

Maybe just clean the relay's contacts and harness-to-glow plug connections? ... relay coil/actuation should be OK since diagnostics flagged (3) specific GP's.
