Houston/Richmond/Rosenberg area. I still have my 2000 gl jetta, dark blue, manny tranny, factory avus wheels, recently flipped 200k, timing belt needed soon at 220k. The clutch that was in the car when purchased in 2006 @ 130K is still in the car doing well. I want a peloquin, so is a trans swap w/ one in it already a feasable idea when clutch finally lets go?? or do i hafta do it the hard way?

Never posted up on my recent purchase. But, added another mk4. Jetta wagon 5 speed. This one just rolled 223k.

Sold my 98 Jetta (years ago) and bought a 2000 Jetta.
Sold my 2000 (a few weeks ago) and bought a 2010 Jetta sedan.
If anyone needs help with VCDS or general maintenance in Austin, let me know. I like teaching people how stuff works and to wrench on their own cars.

Houston, Katy, and Richmond 2012 Jetta. Its my second diesel I fell in love with oil burners after my 99 ram was pushing 19 mpg avg and my 95 f150 before it only got 11 mpg with 195 HP. Interested in any gtg around me want to learn more about these amazing little engines.

Round Rock 2013 Passat TDI SEL Candy White Bought a few weeks ago after my 08 Forester was totaled. 5th VW I have owned, the others were air cooled. 3 months later no issues. Hewlett VW has been great, no complaints.

Hi everyone, I just moved to the Fort Worth area from Arizona. I'll be living in Springtown.
Can't believe I haven't posted in here yet - I've been in Texas since 09, a TDI owner since January 2013 (Mk4 below) and in Dallas since April 2014. Current list of TDIs:

2. 2006 Platinum Gray Metallic/Black Jetta DSG
3. 2014 Black Uni/Black Jetta 6MT w/ Dieselgeek SSK, Malone Stage 1, and 2015 Austin GTI wheels
