Anyone experience "Dead Pedal" on accelerator?

Our 2012 is at VW for its first 10k service. We bought it October of 2012. We have 8400 miles on it. On occasion, and usually after it has run, you restart the car and go to take off and the accelerator is DEAD. The engine idles but will not respond for 1-2 seconds. This can cause a little BUTT pucker if you are trying to get out into traffic.
The tech at VW says it is relative to the Trans Control Module on the DSG trans.
He said that the 2009 cars has a lot of issues like this.
SO... Anyone experience this and had it fixed by the dealer? What did the dealer do?

This happened to me once, about 6 weeks after I purchased the car (new). The dealership performed a "reset" on the transmission controller and it's not happened since.

Thanks! I was looking for someone with the problem that got a solution. The dealer is doing the same update on mine.
